Message update to parent/teachers on the 6/17 TCA end of year ceremony
Dear parents/teachers/volunteers:
The end of year ceremony of TCA Boston will be held at Tzu Chi
Boston Service Center (15 Summer St, Newton) from 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM. To mitigate any unforseen parking issue, we have requested permit from
City of Newton for additonal parking area and updated the parking map
accordingly (see attached). Please print and leave a copy of the
permit visually in your car. However, we recommend you to use
preferentially the closer High Street, Summer Street, and Winter Street
parking area. In case, you are forced to park in the officer Bobby
Braceland playground or Emerson community center, we will have staff
there (until 9:55 AM) to arrange the transportation for you.
We also want to express our appreciation to the parents who help organize a simple lunch for everyone after the ceremony.

Our 2012 closing ceremony will be held on 6/17 9:30 AM-12:00 PM at
Tzu Chi Boston Server Center located at 15 Summer Street, Newton,
MA. The Service Center offers limited
quantity of parking space (~10). The rest please park along High
street, Summer Street, and Winter Street. When you drive through the
intersections between Chesnut street and Summer street, and
between Chesnut street and Winter street, please pay extra caution due

• Wisdom, patience, and determination are the essentials for us to navigate our lives. Only faith but not superstition can guide us to the truth and enlightenment. Therefore, we should be careful in choosing our belief and not be afraid of amending it.

• Do not let egocentricity and selfishness prevent us from expressing compassion toward each other. Adversary and difficulties should not derail our quest of enlightenment.

Dear Parents, Teachers, and Students:
To make up the lost time last semester due to snowstorm, the end of year ceremony will be held at Tzu Chi Boston service center at City of Newton (15 Summer St., Newton, MA 02467). School will issue direction and parking information in subsequent communication. Thank you for your understanding.
Reminders and Highlights:
• Tzu Chi Foundation will hold a “Love Illuminates The World” music concert on 6/10 afternoon 3:30-6:00 PM at Boston Service Center located at City of Newton. The event will feature celebrities from Taiwan Da-Ai TV. The ticket price is $50. Please contact school personnel for more detail.
• We are still looking for parent volunteers to help out the end of school year ceremony event. Please contact Brother Jeff Lin. Thank you!
Campus–June Highlights:
• 6/3 – June 3 is a regular school day and extracurricular activities take place after class. Percussion class is cancelled due to schedule conflict.
• 6/10 – June 10 is a regular school day and extracurricular activities take place after class. Final.
• 6/17 – End of Year Ceremony

• Current Students can register 2013 school year. Those who complete the registration and pay the balance by end of 2012 school year can enjoy a $20 discount. Please submit all completed registration forms and payment to Sister Jennifer. If you experienced financial hardship, please discuss with Sister Jennifer for tuition assistance. Thank you!
• Tzu Chi academy is planning to hold a week-long summer camp for children age from 6 to 12 at Tzu Chi Boston Service Center from August 20 to 24. The subject is culture, humanity and environment. If you and your children are interested in the camp, please see the information at the end of this communication and contact school personnel for more details. Thank you
• For safety and security of the students, please notify their language and/or extracurricular teachers if parents decide to leave with them earlier.

Master Cheng Yen’s Teaching and Jing-Si Aphorisms:
• A vision no matter how grand still requires immediate action to be realized.
• Wisdom, patience, and determination are the essentials for us to navigate our lives. Only faith but not superstition can guide us to the truth and enlightenment. Therefore, we should be careful in choosing our belief and not be afraid of amending it.
• One who has truly achieved enlightenment will not enter conflict and quarrel with others.
• If our lives are indeed just part of a drama, why do not we play roles others adore?
• You could only harvest what you have planted. Therefore, we should be conscious of our action at all time.
• True love and compassion should include accommodation of all live forms in the world.
• If we maintain harmony with people and environment, show no greed, cherish all opportunities, and have no fear to death, we then have indeed reached enlightenment.
• The most important tasks in our lifetime are to constantly improve ourselves, cherish every opportunity and perform good deeds. If we do not, we will eventually lose our karma and commit sins.
• Do not let egocentricity and selfishness prevent us from expressing compassion toward each other. Adversary and difficulties should not derail our quest of enlightenment.
