1.  教務處公告－本學期幼大班至三年級所發的CD是新版，是MP3的版本，必須用電腦撥放。另外，四年級以上沒有附CD。謝謝！

The CD issued from K3 to G3 this year is in MP3 format.   You need to use a computer CD drive to read it. 

2.  徵求三位家長代表協助校務工作推動，家長代表一任一年，有意願的家長請與Jeff Lin 聯繫tatabox2@gmail.com。感恩您!

Last year, our parent representatives, 林明輝, 廖素圓 and Wendy Ong, have done a tremendous job to assist school operations and provide inputs from parents’ perspectives.  We are very grateful for their devotion and accomplishment.  This year, the school will continue the tradition and is actively looking for three parents to be 2013-2014 representatives from all three levels including K1-3, junior and senior grades.  If you are eager to improve the education of your children, please come to join in our school staff.    The responsibility of the parent representative are (but not limited to) as follows

·         Participate school staff meetings

·         Serve as communicate channel between parents and school

·         Organize parents to sponsor school events.

學校方面，原則上希望 K1 & K2 & K3 所有學生們都上「兒童真善美 / 靜思語教學」課 ！ 其他的課外活動，每班學生人數，不能多於12人，感恩您！ 

School recommend all students of K1, K2 and K3 classes attend the兒童真善美 class.    EC class accepts no more than twelve students.   Thank you!

2.  課外活動教室分配請參考附圖。 尚未登記第三堂課家長請於上課時間 (9:30-11:20am) 到學校餐廳選修課程，選修人文真善美課家長和學生請至教室B223集合選修Chinese YoYo 家長和學生請至教室B218集合，目前只剩有三個名額，選修音樂課家長和學生請至教室B217集合。

Please check the attached map for location of the EC classes.   If you have not registered EC class, please do so at cafeteria.   YoYo students please report to B218 while music to B217.  YoYo class still has three opening.

3.   本學年度第一次懇親會將於九月十五日十一時三十分開始。Parent teacher conference will begin at 11:30 AM.

4.   上星期的開學日，有許多小朋友穿著制服到學校，除了看起來整齊之外，學生也因為穿制服容易辨識，讓學校較易維護學生的安全。請老師及家長多多提醒學生穿著制服，至於目前尺碼短缺的制服，學校將在十月中左右收到貨後通知家長。For students’ safety, please remind all students to wear uniform.   Additional uniforms are expected to arrive around mid-October.

5.  以下是我們學校的使用規則，請老師，家長，同學及義工爸爸媽媽共同遵守，　一起維護我們學習的環境。

請大家務必尊重及遵守各教室原老師的隱私權，請不要使用及移動教室內桌上的物品，或是櫃子內的東西。如果您需要使用文具，請聯繫學校的工作人員領取。

(1)      上課結束之後，請老師們將教室桌子、椅子、白板及電腦設備等恢復回狀。

(2)      如果教室內有物品損壞或意外發生，請立即告知學校的工作人員。

JGM has been very generous and accommodating to us in the past.   It is imperative for us to maintain the mutual trust by treating the properties of JGM and its personnel with utmost respect.  Here is our policy as follows:

(1). All should respect/observe the privacy of the JGM classroom teachers and properties of JGM and its personnel.   Please DO NOT use/remove the items on the desks or cabinets in the classrooms.   If you need school supplies, please obtain from our storage room or contact TCAB staff for quick procurement.  

(2). Our teachers (with help from staff and parents) should return the classroom (table /chair/white board/media equipment, etc.) back to its original state after our classes are ended.

(3). If accident or property damage occurs in the classroom, please report to school staff immediately.   TCAB staff will contact JGM and take proper remedy actions.

基於學生安全及教學品質K1, K2 and K3 學生一律上人文真善美課程,家長若要選修課程請與楊誠師兄聯繫.  本學期將招開兩班人文真善美課, 課程除了靜思語教學,慈濟歌曲教唱,手語之外,更有美勞,團康帶動; 要讓學生成為快樂的慈濟小菩薩.

欲選修書法課家長需選擇一次到班擔任助理, 幫老師提水,換水,分發紙張,及課後清理.

新開中式溜溜球選修條件為七歲年齡限制.

青少年樂團招生簡介:

1.   給予學生上台表演機會,為社區老人慈善服務,學校並可提供服務證明

2.   讓學生找到志同道合朋友, 無需回家太多練習, 給予學生自我肯定,實現目標.

3.   陳志新老師擁有多年教學經驗,豐富音樂涵養.  期待更多學生藉此機會陶冶心性,擁有人文品德.

Dear all parents:

1.   Students are required to wear their uniform to school.  Those who do not have one and whose uniform unfit please contact school staff to obtain new one.   Thank you for your cooperation.

2.   Please come to the cafeteria on 9/8 to sign up your children’s 2013-2014 extracurricular class. To ensure safety of our children and maintain quality of teaching in extracurricular classes, we ask students from K1 through K3 to participate in人文真善美. If you would like to pick the other class please contact Brother Yang for further evaluation.  This year we would hold two classes of 人文真善美 to accommodate our students.  The class content includes Tzu Chi Jing-Si Aphorism, singing, sign language, arts and crafts, and dancing sing-along.   Our young students should be very much enjoying their class.  

For students who like to participate in Chinese calligraphy class, their guardians are required to take turn in providing assistance to the teacher.  The assistance includes filling a few buckets of clean water, passing out paper, and cleaning the table after class, disposing the spent water etc.  

A new class, Chinese Yo-Yo, is open for enrollment this year. Students who are seven or older by September this year are permitted to enroll due to safety concerns.

We also want to encourage students who are specialized in music instrument to join in our music ensemble class for the following reasons.

a.   Provide students chances to perform on stage for various communities.  School can offer student certificate for their community service requirement.

b.   A chance to mingle with other students who share a common interest in music.   By the way, this class does not require “excessive” practice at home.   

c.    Dr. Chen has been extremely active in GBCCA and has vast teaching experience.   We are very fortunate to have him.
