牛頓市台灣日 Newton Taiwan Day

親愛的家長您好,

有關牛頓市台灣日的活動，請參考以下僑委會所發布的內容。
慈濟將於活動中設置攤位，香積組於活動當天舉行 "素食義賣"，並捐出所有盈餘，誠摯的邀請您共襄盛舉。

<僑委會行動版>
駐波士頓辦事處、波士頓僑教中心與牛頓市海德社區中心聯合舉辦的「牛頓台灣日」活動，將於5月3日（周六）在僑教中心（90 Lincoln street, Newton Highlands, MA 02461）舉行。

僑教中心表示，舉辦活動的目的在加強與當地主流社會互動與認識。牛頓台灣日將於5月3日中午12時揭幕。在舞龍帶領下，參與表演及活動的團體，將 集合遊行。

表演節目自下午1時開始，包括三太子舞蹈，還有山地舞、民族舞蹈、扯鈴、採茶舞等文化表演。此外，台灣社團及中文學校將在現場擺設珍珠奶茶、肉 丸、生煎包、涼麵、茶葉蛋、粽子、綠豆椪、鳳梨酥、愛玉、擂茶等各式小吃，還有打彈珠、捏麵人、迷你高爾夫球等遊戲攤位，現場還有摸彩活動。

今年牛頓台灣日由青商會主導，邀請紅十字會派捐血車停泊於會場外，歡迎僑胞踴躍登記捐血。僑教中心也將準備台灣醫療服務國際化文宣、台灣觀光及馬 年燈籠等勞作摺紙和DVD光碟，分贈與會人士。

家長與學生園地

1. 4/27 舊生註冊

(1) 本週日(4/27) 早上10:00~11:20學校將繼續在cafeteria 進行舊生註冊。

(2) 收費標準：一學年收480元，半學年收250元。舊生於 4/27當天註冊者，享有$20優待，學費為460元。支票抬頭:" Tzu Chi Academy"。

(3) 註冊當天，學校會準備舊生資料表，家長們只要確認資料無誤、填寫媒體發佈授權書及就醫授權書(附件)，並繳交學費即可完成註冊程序。

(1) The registration for the next school year will continue this Sunday (4/27) for returning students at cafeteria. 

(2) Tuition: $480 per year; $250 per semester. A $20 discount per child is available to those who register on April 27.  Tuition after discount will be $460.  Check payable to “Tzu Chi Academy".

(3) This year, the registration process will be further simplified as following: parents to  (1) update students information (2) sign the media waiver form, and the Release of Liability & Assumption Risk Agreement  (3) pay the tuition to complete the registration. 

2. 靜思語繪畫比賽將於本週日 (4/27) 截止比賽。請同學們記得在4/27當天將完成的作品交給老師。

The Deadline of The Jing -Si Aphorism drawing contest will be on April 27.  Students should submit their works by 4/27.

3. 本週日 (4/27) 放學後將舉辦＂撿彩蛋活動＂！歡迎大、小朋友及家人一起參與！參加者請準備塑膠彩蛋一袋 (約12個) 。家中如有多餘包裝好的小玩具或小貼紙等小東西，也歡迎當日帶來學校，我們可以放入塑膠彩蛋給小朋友！
   早上10:30家長代表 毓雯(Daphne) 將會在餐廳收集彩蛋，歡迎其他家長一起來幫忙。如有任何疑問，請與家長代表 毓雯(Daphne) 連絡: dapchu@gmail.com
   時間：下午12：30分 至 2點。
   地點：大停車場旁的草坪。
   午餐：請自備午餐及水。若想訂Pizza，請於當天早上10:30在學校餐廳找

4. 學校5/4第三堂課將舉辦母親節活動，今年將在各班舉行，請家長共襄盛舉，如果加中有兩個以上的小孩，可以將小孩帶到其中一班一起上課，或是父母可以到不同班參加活動，但請於4/27前告知各班老師，校方好準備活動相關的資源，謝謝配合。
5. 學校Open House 將於5/4舉行，請大家多多邀請或轉寄所附的flyer給對學習中文有興趣者來參觀教學。如果您需要到圖書館、超市張貼，請向如蘋索取印刷版。

Please invite your friends or forward the attached flyer to whoever is interested in learning Chinese to come to 5/4 Open House.  We will also give a tour to classrooms for teaching demonstration.   If you need a hardcopy to post at library or supermarket, please feel free to contact Lily Lien.

6. 慈濟波士頓聯絡處將於5/10 (Sat) 10:30AM舉行浴佛節, 母親節, 全球慈濟日三節合一慶祝活動。歡迎家長及同學們蒞臨波士頓會所(15 Summer St., Newton, MA 02464)參加慶祝活動。請提前15~30分鐘到達波士頓會所。
7. 教務處誠摯邀請對教學有興趣的家長，共同加入教師團隊。有興趣者請與教務處連絡。

3. 本週日(4/13) 早上11點之後，學校圖書館將有免費中文書，歡迎家長及老師前來索取。

There will be free Chinese books available at the library after 11:00 am this Sunday (4/13).

4. 靜思語繪畫比賽將於4月27日 截止比賽。請同學們記得在4/27當天將完成的作品交給老師。

家長與學生園地

1. 本週日(4/6) 起學校將舉行靜思語繪畫比賽，4/27 截止比賽。學校會提供畫圖用紙。同學們也要記得在4/27當天將完成的作品交給老師喔！

The Jing -Si Aphorism drawing contest will be held between 4/6 -4/27.   School will provide drawing paper.  Students should submit their works by 4/27.

2. 4/13 & 4/27 舊生註冊

基於簡化舊生註冊程序，學校將統一於4/13及4/27兩天在cafeteria 進行註冊。請家長務必在這在兩天註冊，除了將享有$20優惠外，也可讓學校在明年度的規劃更順暢。註冊當天，學校會準備舊生資料表，家長們只要確認資料無誤、填寫媒體發佈授權書及就醫授權書，並繳交學費，即可完成註冊程序。

The registration for the next school year will take place on 4/13 and 4/27 for returning students at cafeteria.  We strongly encourage parents to register for students on either day, not only to enjoy $20 early bird discount, but also to help school plan ahead for the next school.

This year, the registration process will be further simplified as following: parents to  (1) update students information (2) sign the media waiver form, and the Release of Liability & Assumption RiskAgreement  (3) pay the tuition to complete the registration. 

3. 教務處誠摯邀請對教學有興趣的家長，共同加入教師團隊。有興趣者請與教務處連絡。

We would like to extend our sincere invitation to parents, who are interested in teaching, to join our ‘teachers team’.  Please contact Academic department if you are interested. 

4. 如果同學有興趣參與四月漢字文化節比賽，請於本週日 (4/6) 將所附報名表填妥，附 $10支票(支票抬頭請寫：NEACS)，交給淑蓉。四月漢字文化節比賽將於4月26日在波士頓僑教中心 (90 Lincoln St., Newton Highlands, MA 02461) 舉行，比賽包括演講、卡拉OK、中文聽打及中華文化常識比賽。有關比賽規則請參閱附件。

New England Association of Chinese School will hold the Speech Contest, Karaoke Contest, Chinese Input Contest and Chinese Culture Contest on 4/26.  If your child is interested, please fill out the attached application, and bring it to Jennifer Ying along with a $10 check (payable to NEACS) before 4/6.   For more information about the contest, please see the attachment.
