親愛的家長、老師與同學們 Dear Parents, Teachers, and Students:
又到了學期末了，希望大家在這個學年度裏都能有所學也有所長，所有學校同仁在此衷心感謝老師與家長們一年來的辛勞，祝福大家有個充實愉快又安全的暑假虔誠，也期許即將畢業的高年級同學努力不懈前程光明。九月再見!
The end of school year is approaching again. The Tzu Chi and school staff would like to give their heartfelt appreciation to all the teachers and parents for the hard work and wish all of you and students a fruitful, happy and safe summer! We also want to give our best to the graduates who will continue to strive for their destiny. See you September!
校園花絮 – 六月份行事曆 June Highlights:
• 6/13 - 正常上課日。第三堂課課外活動。期末考。
June 13th will be a regular school day. Extracurricular activities will take place after class.
• 6/20 – 結業典禮。典禮結束後有美味午餐和遊戲活動，不要錯過哦。預祝大家有個快樂且豐富的暑假。

家長學生園地 Parents Activities:
• 請大家儘速於六月十三日之前歸還所有學校圖書館書籍，感恩您。
All library books are due this week and please return all borrowed book back to school library by 6/13. Thanks.
• 請家長們別忘了在六月二十日之前註冊並繳費，可享有二十元折扣。
Parents please remember to register and pay the tuition by June 20th to take advantage of the $20 discount.
• 感謝大家的協助，今年的紀念冊(DVD)已幾乎編輯完成，將於六月二十日供大家購買($2 each)。
With help from many of you, our yearbook DVD is almost completed and will be available for purchase on 6/20 ($2 each).
• 慈濟預計於七月十一日及八月十五日在中國城舉辦義賣活動，歡迎大家踴躍參加。
Chinatown charity fair is scheduled on 7/11 and 8/15 this year. Please mark that day on your calendar.

To ensure all parents understand the school policy, the school handbook is attached for your information.
• 全美中文學校聯合總會青少年徵文比賽正在接受申請當中，歡迎有興趣同學報名參加，詳情請參閱附件。
National council of associations of Chinese language schools (NCACLS.org) announced that it is holding a 2010 writing contest for all teenage Chinese school students. If you are interested in participating, please read the attached documentation and contact school staff.
證嚴上人的叮嚀與靜思語 Master Cheng Yen’s Teaching and Jing-Si Aphorisms:
• 總之，無論做任何事，最重要的是這一念心，時時顧好自己的心，走的路就正確了。
No matter what we are dealing with, we need to maintain purity of our self-consciousness. As long as we think straight, we will stay in the correct path.
• 要完成任何事也要想得「容易」些，不要複雜化，就不會覺得困難。
Simple approach is far more effective and efficient than complex ones to solve problems.
• 以歡喜心做事，即使忙碌卻不感到辛苦，反而覺得甘甜。
With enthusiasm, even the toughest tasks can bring joy instead dread to us.
• 以簡單無爭的心來待人處世，保持心的穩定，才能不隨境轉。
Treat others with simple and peaceful manner. Once we keep our mind and thoughts straight, our action and judgment will not be clouded by the adverse situations.
• 不論遇到什麼事，都當作是在修苦行，要甘心承受。
Accept the reality and challenges with no complaint. Withstanding the suffering is the path to enlightenment.
