Tzu-Chi Academy, Boston
Dear Parents, Teachers, and Students:
On 11/19, some of TCAB parents, teachers, and students joined Tzu Chi Foundation’s visit to a Chinatown nursing home. This is one of the activities planned this year in the school’s humanity education initiatives. We appreciate the efforts made by our parents, martial art and other teachers and students. The event included music instrument performances and marital art demonstration and so on by our teacher and students. Our students also presented those cards made by themselves and other students earlier to the elders. Thank you all!
With Holiday season coming soon, most of us must have already filled with expectation and joy. We hope you enjoy the delicious food and the new clothes with your family during the holiday. However, we would like to remind everyone not to forget those who are suffering and in dire need. Tzu Chi Foundation and our school are hosting again the “Sending Love to South Africa” event. South Africa has been out of apartheid for almost two decades. The South Africa government is working very hard to improve wellbeing of its people. However, due to the long ill in social, educational and economic structure, many African communities still live in poverty. Tzu Chi believes that education is one of the most effective ways to overcome the social problems in South Africa. Therefore Tzu Chi is committed to provide long term support by donating books and toys to those schools in poor areas of South Africa. South Africa's students really need our help, we preach our parents, teachers and students to come together to help those in need. If you are interested in bringing this message to your school, community or workplace, please contact any Tzu Chi or school personnel. Tzu Chi can provide you with boxes and letters. Thank you for your help!
