人文室Office of Humanities

·        Ni Meiying, a member of Tzu Chi Teacher Association, stated in her book "Become a mentor to your child" that there should be no schism between parent and their children.  She also explained that a child could become disenchanted gradually if parent did not attend to their needs properly.   To save a child from such predicament, parent must have the courage to admit and apologize for their faults.  They should also focus on their children’s strengths while accept their shortcomings.   Although parent needed to correct the mistakes of their children now and then, however punishment was never the best option.   The best approach was to guide your children through love and devotion and share their feeling.

Ni also excised the Jing-Si aphorism teaching "Education means giving and interacting properly" in her classes.   She adhered to the principle of “giving the student three affirmations/praises for every suggested improvement” in all her communications with parents.

Our Jing-Si aphorisms enhancement class in 2012 will be held on 12/16 the third period.   Parents are always welcome to join our teachers and students so that we can all learn together, and grow together.

Dear Parents, Teachers, and Students:

Master Cheng Yen often asks us which side will prevail in the struggle between the good and the evil. Of course, whichever side to gain the majority will win! Therefore, it is extremely important for every one of us to practice the good deeds while avoid the bad behaviors no matter how trivial they may. If every one of us can heed Master’s advices to be selfless, the forces of good will grow and eventually prevail among us; this society can then be filled with love and compassion.
