校園花絮 – 十一月份行事曆 November Highlights:
• 11/21 - 正常上課日。第三堂課課外活動。
November 21st is a regular school day. Extracurricular activities will be held after class.
• 11/28 – 感恩節停課一次。

• 十二月十九日第三堂課將舉行人文繪畫比賽。請每位同學記得帶自己喜歡用的繪畫用具。學校會提供畫圖用紙。詳細比賽規則將於本週決定後公佈。
There will be a poster/drawing academic competition on 12/19. Students please bring their preferred tools and supplies. School will supply 11x17 drawing paper. The rules will be finalized and announced this weekend.

Tzu Chi Boston Service Center will host 「Seminar for your Mind and Soul: Sharing experience on “modern child”education 」at 1:00pm- 3:00pm on November 27 (Saturday).
When the Confucianism and moral values from the East collide with the democracy, personal freedom, and individualism from the West, do you frequently feel confused, besieged, and at a loss of what to do? How the differences in background, upbringing and education styles can affect the interaction and cause conflicts between the two generations? Let us share our experience and explore the various approaches of educating and getting along with those “modern child”. How could we embed our children with the moral values of the East while still let them enjoy sufficient freedom and space for individual development of the West?

家長園地 Parents Activities:

This week, we will host a Music Appreciation Day at 10am at cafeteria. We feel honored and privileged to have our recorder teacher Chingwei Lin and his partner, Emily O’Brian play recorder and Baroque flute. They will perform Baroque classic music and Blues for us. Everyone is invited to the relaxing and enjoyable morning event. 請自備咖啡杯喔(我們可以很輕鬆並且很環保)
Parents Coffee Time on 11/21
We will treat all the parents and volunteers with a fine breakfast and freshly ground coffee this weekend.
Time: 9:45 am
Location: Cafeteria
Purpose: To thank all the caring parents bringing our kids to school every Sunday and To thank all the volunteers for working so hard helping our children
Please bring your own coffee mug (It will be easier for us and easier on the environment too)
• 惜福站將擴大為大家服務。家中如果有大宗的物品想要惜福，如家具，家電用品等等，可以利用學校的Newsletter來刊登。請清楚註明姓名、連絡方式、物品名稱、尺寸大小，顏色等等。越清楚越好。
請注意！所有惜福物品將以捐贈方式實施。除了捐贈學校惜福站之物品轉賣之後，將全數金額捐贈至學校。其餘惜福物品將由捐贈者和收授者自行接洽處理，學校將不會經手。詳細情形請詢問愛心媽媽王韻蘋或潘美玲。謝謝大家的支持。柷大家平安。
XiFu station would like to expand its service by accepting donation of durable goods such as appliance or furniture.
