• 1/23將是上學期最後一堂課, 將會舉行期末考,請鼓勵學生提早準備.

家長園地 Parents Activities:
• 本週日(1/23)早上10:00至11:00, 家長咖啡時間, 歡迎各位家長踴躍參加. 不定期舉辦的家長咖啡時間, 旨在讓家長聯誼及分享生活和小朋友學習心得. 大家一邊喝咖啡吃早餐, 度過溫暖輕鬆的早晨, 深受家長們的歡迎. 本週咖啡時間主持人emily仍會敬備現磨的香濃咖啡,各位有興趣參加的家長們, 能帶來自家拿手的點心與大家分享結緣, 也非常歡迎; 大家的投入和支持, 會讓本來就以分享為主軸的家長咖啡時間, 更多采多姿, 更豐富.
• 本週日和家長咖啡時間同時段, 另伴隨音樂饗宴. 打擊班的陳志新老師和楊信宜老師夫妻, 將為大家帶來傳統打擊樂及古箏欣賞, 不容錯過.
• 一年一度的新春聯歡活動定於2/6舉行. 目前活動組正積極規劃活動相關的內容和人員配置及器材提供, 屆時歡迎家長和小朋友們親子同樂, 大家一起慶新年新春祈福, 內容除了精彩的新年表演, 豐富有趣的攤位活動, 當然琳瑯滿目的吃食點心也是眾所期待. 希望各位家長都能準備自家拿手的點心, 像舉辦大型的pot luck一樣分享各家各味, 團體來過個有台味的新年.
• 圖書館日前進了不少新書, 歡迎各位家長學生借閱. 當然, 捐贈書籍也非常歡迎; 有關捐贈事宜請逕洽圖書館.
• 家長咖啡時間是給家長們互動的園地. 所有的主題和日期表都開放給大家, 只要大家有興趣討論的主題, 都請洽emily或是美玲, 隨時規劃為家長們訂作的咖啡時間.
• 1月29、30日(星期六、日）──「萬里同心、全僑一家」迎春聯合揮毫比賽（紐英侖中華公所、新英格蘭中文學校協會、紐英侖藝術學會及紐英侖中華書法會）歡迎各界人士踴躍參加，優勝者將由主辦單位頒發獎狀、獎金。
Jan 29, 30 (Sat, Sun) – “Ten Thousand Miles Same Heart, Overseas Chinese One Family” Spring Festival Joint Calligraphy Contest (Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association of New England, New England Chinese School Association, New England Art Association and New England Chinese Calligraphy club) welcomes everybody to take part in the competition.
The winners will be given awards and prizes by the organizers.
聯合揮毫活動，將分成人組、學生組，非華人組。為鼓勵新生代使用毛筆，發揚中華文化，學生組又按年齡，再分成2組。
參加者必須自備筆墨，由主辦單位提供揮春紅紙，於指定時間，前往特定地點書寫。書寫地點分兩個：（1）波士頓華僑文教服務中心， 1月29日（星期六）上午10時至下午3時，90 Lincoln St. Newton Highlands, MA 02461 Tel: 617-965-8801（2）紐英崙中華公所， 1月30日（星期日）上午11時至下午3時 。90 Tyler St. Boston , MA 02111 Tel: 617-542-2574。參加者可自由創作，亦可參照主辦單位準備之參考資料，書寫對句。主辦單位將由中華書法會、藝術學會邀請書法名家擔任評判，評審後頒獎。
The Joint Calligraphy Contest will be divided into adult group, student group and non-Chinese group. In order to encourage the new generation to use calligraphy brushes and learn Chinese culture, the student group will be further divided into 2 age groups.
All contestants must prepare their own brush and ink (the organizers will provide red paper) and write at the specified time at the specified locations. There are 2 locations : (1) Culture Center of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Boston: 1/29 (Saturday) from 10am-3:00pm , 90 Lincoln St. Newton Highlands, MA 02461 Tel: 617-965-8801 (2) Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association of New England: 1/30 (Sunday) 11:00am – 3:00pm, 90 Tyler St. Boston , MA 02111 Tel: 617-542-2574。
The contestants can write freely, or use the materials prepared by the organizers and write couplets. The organizers will have the Chinese Calligraphy Association and Art Association invite well－known calligraphers as judges, and give out awards after the contest.
