中華民國二零一零年，北美地區台灣傳統週訪問團，將於五月九日(星期日)在波士頓地區，舉行一天的工作坊，時間及地點如下:

下午2:00以後:僅提供給僑校文化教學用
The folk art group of the Senior Jaycees Club, sponsored by The Overseas Compatriot Affairs Commission (OCAC) of the Republic of China, will be visiting the Boston area on 5/9 to celebrate Taiwanese American Heritage Week. There will be eight artists giving demonstrations and workshops for Chinese and Taiwanese traditional arts and crafts. Please see the attached introduction for details.

校園花絮 – 三 月份行事曆 February Highlights:
• 3/14 - 正常上課日。第三堂課課外活動。本周因為Bedford選舉不能使用體育館，羽毛球課取消。這星期開始日光節約時間。
March 14th is a regular school day. Extracurricular activities will take place after class except the badminton class. The badminton class is cancelled because the gym is not available this week due to Bedford’s town election. Also- Daylight saving begins this week!
• 3/21 - 正常上課日。靜思語教學。課外活動暫停。
March 21st is a regular school day. No extracurricular activities. Jing-Si Aphorisms lessons will be held after class instead.
• 3/28 - 正常上課日。第三堂課課外活動。繪畫壁報比賽。
March 28th is a regular school day. Extracurricular activities will take place after class. The Drawing/Poster competition is today.
學生園地 Student Activities:
• 學校邀請有興趣參加新英格蘭區中文學校演講比賽的同學家長，參加3月14日的信息會。校方人員和老師將在11：25am六年級教室討論如何為參賽做準備。
The school would like to invite parents of students who are interested in competing in the New England Speech Contest for an information session on 3/14. The session will be held at 11:25 AM in the six-grade classroom. School staff and teachers will brief parents on preparation for the contest.
• 新英格蘭區中文學校中文聽打比賽將於四月十日舉行，有興趣同學請盡快與校方人員聯繫。
New England Chinese School Chinese typing competition will be held on 4/10. Students interested in competing please contact school staff for details ASAP.
• 繪畫壁報比賽延至三月二十八日，比賽主題將於近日透過電子郵件公佈。優勝同學將可代表學校參加五月底美東區中文學校壁報競賽。
The poster/drawing competition has been postponed to 3/14. The topic will be published soon through email notification. The winners can attend the American-East regional Chinese schools poster competition at the end of May.
• 《美國慈濟世界》季刊是屬於全美慈濟人的刊物，專欄「學生園地」，非常希望全美慈濟人文學校都能提供學生作品，有興趣老師同學請於3月18日之前將作品交給校方人員。
Tzu Chi US is a quarterly magazine for Tzu-Chi US members. One of the magazine sections is specifically allocated for all students in Tzu Chi Academy. Students and teachers, who are interested in submitting manuscripts, please contact school staff by 3/18. Thank you.

• 人唯有縮小自己，放大別人，才能走入人心。
We can only be accepted by others if we give up our ego and treat others with respect.
• 以同理心待人，多為人著想，人家自然也會感動，會為我們設想。
If we expect others to treat us with compassion and empathy, we should treat others the same first.
• 世間本就是困難重重，必須有耐心、毅力，才能一步步克服難關。
With patience and persistence, we shall gradually overcome the many obstacles encountered in our life.
• 要學會苦中作樂─凡事要樂觀，不要洩氣。
Maintain an optimistic and cheerful attitude even in adverse situations and never give up.
• 短暫人生中，寸寸道路都是過去自我鋪設成的；未來道路的方向，就看這一生要如何鋪。最重要的是把握活著的時候，用愛鋪路走向未來。
To what destiny will our journey lead us is determined by our past actions. Therefore, remember to pave your journey with love and passion.
