Communications –October 21, 2012
Tzu-Chi Academy, Boston
Dear Parents, Teachers, and Students:
The close interaction and understanding between our teachers and students make the teachers the ideal to teach our students ethics using Tzu Chi Jing-Si aphorisms. Additionally, the professionalism of our teachers can certainly facilitate and brighten up the delivery process to our students. Since the Jing-Si aphorisms ethic lesson has particular emphasis on the routine behavior, our parents are strongly encouraged to sit in the class (not necessarily in your child’s class) so that they can work with their children on their ethics and behavior at home together. However we also urge our parents respectful of our teachers and not to disturb the class during the sit in. The media teams from Tzu Chi Boston and our school will help capture those precious moments in the classes.

Master Cheng Yen’s Teaching and Jing-Si Aphorisms:
• Every single day is like a blank page of our life. Every person we meet, every event we participate in is a lively essay.
• In the face of criticism, ask if your conscience is clear. With a clear conscience, you will have peace of mind.
• Speak kind words, think good thoughts, do good deeds, and walk the right path.
• In showing gratitude, we become a more beautiful person.
