重點提醒:
• 請家長們本週日能協助準備萬聖節所需的文具與糖果。若您的子女可能對特定食物過敏，也請您全程陪同以策安全。

• 由於自上週起新增一班CSL I，原來CSL I 與CSL II 因此改名 CSL II 與 CSL III。新CSL I將由許健老師負責授課。
• 為了維護學生安全，學生與老師志工應穿著制服。若發現可疑人員或物品， 請立刻通知校方人員處理。
• 老師們請家長將學生的作業妥善保存，以便將來成果展及呈現學生學習的成長過程。

• 慈濟基金會波士頓聯絡處邀請您於十月二十七日星期六早上再度參與牛頓市Hemlock峽谷之友會所舉辦的Hemlock峽谷保留區年度秋季大清掃 (離會所大約0.2英里)。有興趣的家長、老師與同學們請於早上九時三十分在慈濟會所集合，然後走路到Hamilton Place。有志工服者請穿志工服，沒有志工服者，請注意天候穿著適合的‘工作服’到會所套上志工背心後再出發，人文學校學生請穿學校制服參加。有意願的志工們請向美宜師姊報名617-762-0569 並於早上九時三十分在慈濟會所集合，清掃時間是10 AM- 12 PM。感恩您！
家長園地:

• 關於學生學習中文打字時程，教務處暫訂以下原則
a) 七年級以上的學生，其他年級教務處將視學生們使用漢語拼音的情況，決定教授時間。
b) 將以漢語拼音/繁體字為主
c) 如果確定教授時間，學生最好有筆記型電腦隨堂學習 (應該是一堂課即可) 。

Dear Parents, Teachers, and Students:
We ask our parents’ generosity and support in preparing cookie, candy, and school supplies for the Trick-Or-Treat event this Sunday (10/28). Please contact our parent representative in advance and bring your donation to school cafeteria before the class begins on Sunday. Our parent representatives and school secretary will coordinate the collection and distribution. Parents, who could help direct the event, please also report to our parent representatives at cafeteria. We would also like to remind our parents to examine the booty collected by your children closely to avoid any potential complication. After the event, students should go back to their extracurricular classes quickly.

Tzu Chi Foundation will host a musical on 10/27 at Queens College in New York. The musical is to remind us of filial piety, our responsibility to our parents and elders. Tickets are on sale now, for more details, please contact school secretary - Sister Angela Hsieh at 919-480-3998.
Reminders and Highlights:
• Parents please help bring school supplies and candy to school this Sunday for the Halloween activity. If your child has food allergies, please accompany him/her at all time during trick-or-treat event for safety reason. Thank you!
• All are encouraged to wear their favored Halloween costume this Sunday. Students please remember to bring your collecting bag!
• Teachers and students please return the classroom back to its original status after class. Help from parents are appreciated.
• Please only enter the school building through the doors close the Cafeteria and the Gym.
• Student is not allowed to venture out of the school building without supervision of teachers or parents.
Campus–October/November Highlights:
• 10/28 – October 28 is a regular school day. Halloween activity around 11:10-11:40 AM. The extracurricular activities will resume afterwards.
• 11/04 – November 4 is a regular school day. Daylight saving ends.
• 11/11 – November 11 is a regular school day. Mid-term.
• 11/18 – November 18 is a regular school day. Parent teacher conference.
• 11/25 – Thanksgiving no school.
Teacher & Student Activities:
• Please note the following change: a new class is just formed last week and named CSL I. The original CSL I and CSL II are renamed to CSL II and CSL III, respectively.
• Students, teachers, and volunteers should wear their uniforms to ensure security. Please contact school staff if you find anything or anyone suspicious.
• Teachers please keep student works for future exhibition and as milestone of progress.
Tzu Chi Events:

• Autumn's crisp chill and vibrant colorations remind us of the foliage season and the joyful Fall Cleanup. This year, the Hemlock Gorge Fall Cleanup is scheduled on Oct. 27 from 10 AM – 12 PM (9:00 AM – 10:00 AM is the check-in time). The details of this event can be found at http://www.hemlockgorge.org/index.html. Tzu Chi has joined in this activity since three years ago, as part of the‘cleaning team’ with the community, and has experienced a lot of fun and fulfillments. If you are interested in participating in this event, please contact Sister May-Yi and come to the Tzu Chi Newton office at 9:30 AM on Oct. 27. Parents Activities:
• This year we will host Trick-or-Treat between classrooms due to a younger student population. Due to safety concern, K1 to G3 students have to be accompanied by at least one room assistant while the rest will be directed by the volunteers stationed around the hallway. Please follow the direction and be safe while having fun. The extracurricular classes will take place after the Trick-or-Treat. We welcome family to donate either school supply or candy or both. Please contact parent representative, Mr. Simon Lin (simon01801@yahoo.com), if you would like to help.
• Our parent representatives, Mr. Simon Lin, Ms. Su-Yuan Liao, and Ms. Wendy Ong, have formerly joined the school operation and serve as additional channel for our parents. If you have any concern, please feel free to contact them or any of our school staff. Thank you!
• Parents and students are encouraged to take advantage of the teacher’s blog. In addition to class material, there are also many reference material, audio, and video information worth checking.
• To enable our extracurricular teachers to concentrate on teaching their students, school request assistance from the parents of those students in the class.
